About me

Australian-born left-handed Brit-descended multiply-hyphenated Canadian ape descendant. Ex-soldier ex-trucker excessively dedicated to excess verbiage.

I love language and the craft of writing. Like sex, when it’s good, it’s amazing, and even when it’s not good it’s still not bad.

I’m privileged to live in one of the most beautiful areas of one of the most beautiful countries on this incredibly improbable planet, and to be happily married to an amazing and supportive woman who brings to the relationship all the organization I’m genetically incapable of.

The word “genetically” was deleted after the pointed comment from my father in the annual Yule Letter of 2009
~TM, 8/1/10

In addition to writing, I’m into old machinery, continually assembling a 1961 Nash, a 1980 Honda CB650, and whatever other project has my current attention.

I’m also addicted to acting: Check out my acting blog here.

I used to write for a workplace safety publishing house, and am setting out on my own adventure, trying to get a career going in writing and acting. Reaching for stars and hopefully having a lot of fun along the way.

Interesting start. Look forward to hearing more.

But first things first — where did you get that great picture for your banner? Is that you?

  2. Ted says:

Yup. That pic was taken by my wife, who also has much better photographic skills than I do.

It IS me, on the shores of Lake Okanagan. The scarf was knitted by my sister and is 23 feet long. I’ll post another pic of it on the acting blog.
